Sommerloch

That’s what we Germans call the time during the summer when there are no news to report. So: Sorry for not posting for a while. We have actually been focussing on our Top 100 Language Blogs competition on our language blog Lexiophiles. We are really excited to see how it has taken off in the blog community: 473 blogs were nomintated, over 2.500 votes have been cast so far. Wow!
And yes, we are working on some improvements and lots of new content. More on that later. Go out and enjoy the sun while you can!

How to make us famous

internet-world-business-idee-2009As we know by now the trend goes to having a Twitter account with a million followers. Well, with our 200 plus followers on the babla Twitter account we are not quite there yet. So we thought: Let’s go back to the roots and just win one of those “XYZ of the year” competitions. So, here we are: We have been nominated as best business idea 2009 by the German Internet World Business magazine. Actually, we didn’t come up with this ourselves and we were surprised & delighted by the nomination. And just in case you are already following us on Twitter and want to make us the next Internet Idol give us your vote as best German start-up of the year. You know: Every vote counts! [I wanted to write “Yes we can” but that sounds a little over the top.]
